OMG this is exactly it!!! On Elliot's post where we began our conversation.. He asked me if I knew of Tom Campbell. Campbell is well known for his theory of everything "My Big TOE" Campbell claims that this whole simulation/virtual reality is here for us to slow or end ENTROPY... I mentioned to Elliot that, Campbell's theory about this reality would have to be a complete Failure if indeed Transhumanism is our final destination and succeeds.
I watched some Tom Campbell video's, (after coming across him on Elliot's substack), but have not read his "My Big Toe" book. With our culture already significantly 'technologised' (and hence entropy already significantly structured in to daily life), transhumanism as you suggest is likely to be the final nail in the coffin of our true humanity.
If I stand back and consider this for a mo', I find it hard to believe that this trajectory towards destruction is not co-ordinated by some 'alien' mindset that wishes to totally enslave and/or eliminate the human race.
My response to it all requires a constant re-evaluation of why I am here on this planet and currently I make 'living structures' for 'sacred spaces' where syntropy can 'take root'. It probably sounds a bit wishy-washy but it's work-in-progress.
alien and parasitical. I do not embrace eastern philosophy which pretty much asks us to embrace our suffering KNOWING that we are creating it by our DESIRE for something. I spent 20 years looking into this philosophy, to me it's the parasite (alien/AI) subduing us and our intelligence, to submit to pain and suffering as coming from our own mind and psyche. That there are no victims, that we are doing this to ourselves.
If I've understood correctly, I agree. Though we humans can cause ourselves a certain amount of suffering, we don't cause it all. There are very powerful forces at work pushing agendas and ideologies which people get fooled into believing thereby creating some kind of self-fulfilling cycle of self-destruction.
If you can get the masses to believe "it's all their own fault" then the parasite class are onto a winner.

I am very anti-transhumanism, not least because of where such a disgusting and mad idea comes from - as you allude to in your comment. And the techno-might-is-right arrogant beliefs can basically be found rooted in the Old Testament Abrahamic religions, which I see you've got a handle on.
Meanwhile, technology as it is currently being developed is a war of attrition against the human race, and leaves humans with little option but to grow in consciousness pronto, and develop trusting resilient communities to negotiate living through this time of violence against the human spirit.

Thank you Jamie. AI can impress, and sometimes look like doing something original, but it can never do the real stuff, true art, because it is dead - it has no life-connection to Source. Syntropy, by intent of the entropic mind-set, is squeezed out. I guess that's why, with the rise of any authoritarian regime, it's the artists, poets and free-thinkers who often go the the gulags first.
